This oolong from the Wuyi Mountains is made from a specific mono-variety called Fo Shou, which translates literally to "Buddha's Palm." The name comes from the exceptionally large, broad, and thick leaves unique to this tea variety.

Like all Wuyi oolongs, the flavor of Fo Shou depends on multiple factors: soil quality, age of tea bushes, use of fertilizers, the skill of the farmer, and the expertise of the tea master who performs the final roasting. We have sourced a Fo Shou with an ideal grade of raw material, optimal roasting, and an excellent balance of quality and price.

Brewing Instructions
We recommend brewing this tea using multiple infusions to capture the delicate nuances of flavor and aroma. Use a porcelain gaiwan for a high aromatic profile or a resonant Yixing clay teapot for a richer, more concentrated taste. Take a generous amount of tea leaves (at least 5 grams per 100 ml), use boiling water, and enjoy the fragrance of Fo Shou from the gaiwan lid, the empty cha hai, and the teacup.
